So what's up with the little blue dots?

Our preference is to use this method, first introduced by Ultratest NDT Services.  This is the only method that allows trending of losses and prediction of life expectancy.  Each TML has a location and direction assigned.  An example would be vertical band on top North head, point 1 after nozzle, point three after lifting lug, point 12 before weld, points taken from top to bottom.  A marking template is used that will never alter point spacing, so even though the points may fade after 3 or 4 years, it is very easy to reproduce.  The markings are neat and identification numbers are small and legible.   Each physical reference to a vessel component is in the HAZ.  When corrosion is encountered along the length of the TML, the entire TML is scanned, and the minimum for each point is recorded.

We are adaptable to your specific requirements and will work with you in whichever manner you prefer.

We utilize Olympus and Krautkramer dataloggers and flaw detectors.  If you have a preference in exported file type, we can accommodate.  We can also interface with most popular corrosion monitoring software such as UltraPIPE, Visions, PCMS and UltraMAX.  Reports can be generated with our in-house software or a simple .csv format to copy into your  preferred database.
