We are a supplier for Ultratest UT Access Ports.  Made with a flexible nylon material, these ports are an excellent alternative to regular sheet metal.

Most metal covers have to be cut and beveled to fit and require four to eight self taping screws to ensure a tight seal against the vessel.  These types of covers are time consuming to remove, never fit as well once a repeat inspection has occurred, and are not very effective in preventing water ingress.

Ultratest UT Access Ports are an easy one time instalation.  Once installed, the inspector simply twists some wing clips away from the outer panel, and lifts the hinged cover up to gain access to the TMLs.  Literally 10 to 20 seconds to open versus 1 to 2 minutes, and all without even dropping a screw!

The benefit over other manufactured access ports available, is that rather than a 3 or 4 inch diameter circle, the inspector can gain access to a much bigger area, roughly 3 x 18 inches, thus improving the chance of locating active corrosion, or covering two phases in a vessel with a single port.

The bright orange color is easily spotted by the UT personnel, and the material has been successfully tested on vessels operating at temperatures between -20 and 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
